The City of Gahanna's current testing is for hiring in 2013. The FrontLine examination must be completed through National Testing Network by 5:00 pm, Tuesday, July 31, 2012.
The City
of Gahanna does not require a PAT (Physical Abilities Test) through
NTN. PAT testing will be conducted by the City of Gahanna. Please
review the Police Officer Applicant Packet and Hiring Standards
information listed below before registering for the examination.
PATs are not administered at Columbus State Community College. If your
application includes other NTN departments, you must test at a different
NTN location to complete your PAT.
Salary Information:
Salary is based upon negotiations with Fraternal Order of Police.
Current contract ends 12/31/2012; however, as a point of reference, the
ranges are:
Step 1: $40,197.91 ($19.33/hour)
Step 2: $52,813.04 ($25.39/hour)
Step 3: $60,920.42 ($29.29/hour)
Step 4: $76,367.92 ($36.72/hour)

Ability to Read and Speak the English Language
Academy Certification: No. Ohio Police Officer Training Academy certificate or the ability to attend and successfully complete a residential police academy as required for appointment.
