Applicants must be available to work day, swing and night shifts 7 days a week,
including weekends & holidays. For consideration, applicants should check those

call out and scheduled overtime. Qualified candidates must be available to
participate in physical agility testing.
Performs duties in law enforcement, aviation security and public safety. Duties
will include, but not be limited to the following:
Conducts and participates in general investigations of
crimes, accidents and incidents.
Maintains surveillance of airport facilities and grounds;
controls traffic and enforces parking regulations.
Preserves law, order and public safety; discovers and
prevents commission of crimes.
Responds to service calls and complaints including civil
complaints, property control, vehicle accidents and related misdemeanor and
Investigates crimes; collects, processes, photographs and
presents evidence; interviews victims, witnesses and other complainants.
Contacts and cooperates in investigations with other law
enforcement agencies including the Transportation Security Administration
and provides mutual aid and assistance.
Apprehends and arrests offenders; writes reports;
testifies and presents evidence in court.
Maintains contact with citizens regarding potential law
enforcement problems and preserves good relationships with the general

10+ years of patrol experience OR 5+ years of
Airport Police experience
Possession of current Category 1 Nevada Basic Peace
Officer Standards & Training Certification (POST) or completion of Nevada
POST Academy at the time of appointment. Note: Out of state applicants must
be employed by a law enforcement agency for a minimum of one (1) year in
order to be eligible for the "in lieu of" training to obtain NV POST
